Holy Given: Leyte International School of Missions, Philippines

Dates:

June-July, 2012

Week 1 and 2

This year we have 45 students from all over the Philippines, mainly from Leyte, Mindanao, Cebu and also Luzon regions.  We have two students, one from US and one from Pakistan.  God has brought all the students and staff that He wanted here in Leyte for 2012.

During the opening Ceremony, Ptr Ferds spoke and opened the school calling us into Gods purposes.  The Holy Spirit came and broke into our school during the first prayer and song.   It has been like this ever since.  We have an amazing team of staff from WEBC whom God is raising and equipping them as they step out in leadership.  We continue to live, learn and grow together as a team and students together.

In week 1 students were learning more about their identity in Him and who they ARE in HIM.  God has been moving powerfully in the students through our times of teaching and ministry.  Students have been delivered, set free and  healed.  We are seeing God heal students (and staff) physically and emotionally – He is doing it and we give all thanks and glory to HIM. God works differently in us all and we are learning how to live and learn together and be open and flexible to move and go where He is taking us.  He is our living water.

Week 2 we had Cindy Ruakere and Anita Voisey come as our special guests to HG Leyte.    We learnt about spiritual warfare and how to be prepared with our weapons and fight.  Many students set free and strengthened to walk in freedom and use Gods word, worship and His words of life to us from one another to break through into freedom.   We received prayer, encouragement and the tools we needed to walk in this freedom.   Thank you Lord and  AMEN!!

Salamat  Panginoon at AMEN!!

We symbolized this freedom by burning our confessions at the beach and releasing them to Jesus whom is the only one who exchange our suffering/sin/pain for His grace and resurrection life.   We did another symbolic act of  jumping into the sea which represented a cleansing and washing off of our sin and brokenness and stepping into the new life of freedom God has for us.

Javed is our Pakistani student and God honored his faith and obedience in coming though not all his ticket was purchased and he has now made a way for him to get a visa extension and flight rebooked.   God is faithful and provided not just one but two miracles.  God has not forgotten about the nation of Pakistan – it is His country and He loves His people there.  He has not forgotten His Pakistani bride.  We are so blessed to have our first student from Pakistan.

God loves His creation and has also resurrected a piglet who was dying.  Meriam (Ptr Ferds wife) prayed for it to come to life and then it suddenly jumped up and feed from the mother.  God is good as pigs are important source of income and food here in Philippines!

We have some testimonies from the students and attached photos.

We have also translated this into Tagalog / English so all of you can enjoy.

Week 3 to come soon….

One testimony …

I was set up by God. I was coming to Leyte to see a friend. The night before I arrived I was informed she was not coming, because of health reasons she could not make it.

A man plans his way,  in this case a woman, but God directs his steps. Proverbs 16:9

I surely would not have come If I knew ahead of time that she was not going to be there, but God knew.

There is such a hunger and desperation for God and the things of the Kingdom. I was reminded how easy it is in the US, and my brothers and sisters in the Philippines stirred up in me our need for God and each other.

I was privileged to teach a few sessions of the school and was overwhemled by the receptivity of the students. After each session everyone would come up for prayer, they were desperate for a touch from Abba Father, and He always delivered.

I was so blessed by the students and staff at WEBC/Holy Given Leyte, they have shown me a humility and servants heart like I have never experienced before.

The pictures say it all…

Leyte, Philippines, 9 July, 2012

We are in our 4th week of HG in Leyte, Philippines.  We give God all the glory, honor and praise.  This is His school and He is in control!!
We thank and praise God for His presence with us and for breaking into our sin and brokenness in our lives helping us to come to Him and give it all to HIM.   HE is mighty to save and deliver us.  We give thanks for the way the students have received a deeper revelation of God as Father in the past week.

Pray this will deepen in the next few weeks to come.   Pray for the students to continue to be released into their true identity.    Pray for us for protection and that all that God wants to accomplish will be achieved!    Pray for continued breakthrough for the students and that God will continue to pour His love into their hearts for the communities and nations around us. Pray for the renewing of the students minds and hearts as they learn to walk out in courage and faith the new seeds and fruit God has planted in their lives.   Pray for courage and faith to speak out what God is showing them.

We thank God for the numerous testimonies of encounters with God.    I had a picture of God coming in the worship – not just individually but for us all together  – we were all on the canoe together.  Please pray for this.  God is showing us more about who He is through our worship!

Holy Given: Leyte International School of Missions, Philippines

Dates:

May 12, 2011

April 5th – May 28th, 2010

Hello everyone!

It is great to be back here in Leyte after a whole year! It was so wonderful, when we arrived, to reunite with our WEBC family. We have missed them dearly. 🙂

The school started on 5 April, 2010, and we have hit the ground running! There are 4 international students this year, 2 from the US, one from New Zealand and another from the UK. We have 2 from Manila and the rest are from this region. Holy Spirit came so powerfully during the opening ceremony in the morning, we were under God’s manifest presence soon after worship began.

Pastor Ferds, director of WEBC (World Evangelism Bible College) whom we are partnering with outlined some history of the Philippines as a nation and shared about the season the Philippines is now entering. With 2010 entering the 490th year from the time that Magellan entered Philippine shore, he shared about the Philippines’s birthright of blessing the nations and explained the prophetic significance of Philippines entering the year 2010 as the Decade of Completion, Restitution and Jubilee. Philippines is in fact having their National Elections in this coming 10th May.
