Holy Given Armavir: Weeks 2 & 3 Update

Holy Given: Armavir International School of Missions
Armavir, Russia

Week 2: 15 - 21 June, 2009

Week 2 at Holy Given Armavir was highlighted by teaching on 24/7 worship and prayer with the students participating for the weekend in a worship outreach. It was the first time many students had prayed during the night and the testimonies of how easy and how much they enjoyed it motivated them to worship and pray even more.

Week 3: 22 - 28 June, 2009

The outreach mid-week involved ministering to people we had met on the first outreach and praying for them. People were pleased to see the students and opened up to the love they received. During the weekend, teams of students went for to 3 different cities to minister.

Holy Given Armavir students experienced great healing and deliverance during the Freedom teaching, including freedom from abuse and the effects of communism in their lives. The majority of students, having grown up in communist countries as children and amongst other things, were set free to be able to dream again.

Homework included art presentations of what the Kingdom looks like to the homeless, to orphans, to terrorists and minority groups.

The Gospel from the Underside skits involved much laughter as students portrayed Russian Eskimos (Chukchas) in the parable of the workers in the vineyard. In another skit, Kirgizh people heard the Parable of the Great Banquet while drinking tea at a Kirgizh banquet sitting on the floor, and in another children in an orphanage enjoyed a banquet while learning the same parable.
